Winter 2017 Humanitarian Trip to Haiti

We are back from our winter trip. Our complete team united at our base in Camp Perrin on the late evening of February 18,2017. We started our unpacking process and settled from an exhausting day of traveling. Because of roofless situation of the churches after the Hurricane, worship service starts early on Sundays before the sun gets too hot. So we had to get up extra early to get ready to go worship with the local churches. It was an awesome day in the LORD’s presence as we worshipped with the local church in a partly covered roof. During the praise service it started to drizzle a bit but no one was concerned as their focus was on the LORD and not their surroundings. Thank GOD it did not rain! After church we went back to our base and started opening the barrels and preparing the bags of grocery for donation. By the evening we met with the church leaders and discussed how we can work together to bring the gospel to the lost of the region. The local church leaders agreed to come and work with us so the people that received CHRIST would have a familiar place to go once we leave.

Five Days Work Report from Monday February 20-Friday February 25, 2017:
Evangelical (Counseling) Station: 2 people received the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior and 2 people rededicated their lives to the Lord and asked us to pray God for evil spirits to leave them alone.

Medical Station: 2 Medical Doctors 1 Dentist 1 Nurse Anesthetist and 2 Nurses: 826 patients received medical care, 86 patients received dental care and 10 eye glasses were distributed.

Education Station: 385 children were registered each day of activities in our day camp but more children came after registration and for that we did not get a full count. We have a long list of kids in need of scholarship some are on our website in case you want more information concerning sponsoring a child for school for $200 a year. At the end of the camp the children put up a show as usual but this time it turned into a worship service. It is amazing how those children in spite of their poverty could still give praise and worship to GOD our Savior.

Food & Nutrition: We distributed 185 bags of groceries to 185 families. We fed over 500 children hot meals daily. Some adults waiting to be served were also fed.
Clothing distribution: We used our bus as the boutique this trip, and things seemed to be less chaotic. We donated clothes and shoes to over 600 people.
Construction: We started repair the construction of the fence and believing that slowly we will get there. We continue with the rooftop project for there is still families sleeping on roofless partly demolished houses.
The work is huge and the volunteers are few; we pray GOD will send more of His angels to work in His great work!
