Haiti Summer 2022
It is always a privilege and an honor to serve the poor.
The call to go this summer came in May in spite of the security situation in Haiti. Discouraged by so many but encouraged by GOD who released His peace and showed us that our safety is in His hands and His hands only. It did not matter, as missionaries we had to answer our call no matter what. And if difficulties were to come our way we would know that our faithful GOD was going to be there with us.
The team consisted of only two, the smallest since 2005 however we believed that GOD only wanted to send two. We took a local flight to Camp Perrin Instead of driving. We gathered some of our workers and helpers and started right away as led by the Holy Spirit.
We found our people in a desperate and hopeless situation wondering if we would ever come back due to the situation in Haiti. They were fully aware of the risks taken to get to them which made them appreciate more and understand the importance of the work and the message.
We encouraged them that our GOD would never leave them nor forsake them because their lives are precious in the sight of GOD. It was a mission to encourage them to stay focused as we are living in the last days.
We were encouraged ourselves to see the younger generation that we raised in the past seventeen years ready to help continue the work we started. Our older kids were there with us on daily basis either helping in the clinic, playing ball with the kids or sitting with us in the evening just to talk about their life and the faithfulness of GOD.
We were also encouraged to see that we were not alone in the mission field in Haiti. We saw and interacted with different groups of missionaries of different races and nations struggling with the safety issues, language and culture however eager to do what the Lord has sent them to do in Haiti.
In spite of gang violence, killing and kidnappings, our GOD is not done with Haiti; HE is raising His army.
My encouraging word for you today is to continue the race until the end as it is not the stating strength that matter but our endurance to the end.
Always in CHRIST,
Francoise Jusma-Pierre
